This is one of the very few Woodland points that I have found on the prairie potholes of the Shelbyville Moraine. It is made from heat-treated Burlington flint and is probably an Apple Creek point, a late Middle Woodland type. It was an isolated find, away from any base camp with no fire-cracked rock or flint chips anywhere nearby. It was probably lost during a hunt.
